I've been a fan of the Need for Speed series since the 90s. I'm also a fan of realistic driving games like Forza. Shift 2 strikes the perfect balance.
I'm only 31% through the career modeand I've played 26 hours. The cars handle great and are upgradeable, which I love. You must work your way up the latter to be able to participate in certain events. you may also need to buy or modify a car to match the race requirements. It makes it fun adding the upgradeable element, or buying new cars to use in races.
Graphics are superb. The sounds are also good, but some engines sound a little like wet cardboard. Not too noticeable though.
Overall I'd give this game a 4.5/5
I'll be updating the review as I play more.
